Last night turned into a heavy email/text session with various people, all on my phone, and now my eyes are fried! Talking with publishers and artist friends and general scheming and catching up. Need to do a final pick-up recording session on DEPT MIDNIGHT, and that’s now booked for next week.
Two fig trees arrived today, and my partner’s friend has offered to give me some cuttings from her fig trees. Last time I bought a fig tree, it arrived as a stick in a pot and I was promised it was dormant. A year later, it is still a stick in a pot, and has changed in no way whatsoever.
Waiting on the new printer to arrive. A less cranky printer will hopefully let me go back to printing stuff off to paste into notebooks, a habit I’ve gotten out of this year because I had to sacrifice souls to Satan just to get the thing to connect to the laptop. Also getting the Instax Link mini-printer back up and running.
ON DECK: If the doorbell doesn’t start ringing, then I have a light rewrite and an outline to hit. Also planning my Saturday – I’ve got the day to myself, so I’m intending to sit down with a nearly-full notebook and assemble all the bits in it into a full outline for a new project. So I want to clear the short jobs off my desk this week so nothing hangs over into Saturday.
