Kind of dreading the amount of work I have to do outside next month.

I have now switched off so many news notifications on my phone that I am basically back in the 1990s now. I read the tops of The Economist, the BBC News, The Wall Street Journal, AP and Politico before breakfast. In the evening I read a little deeper, maybe go through France24 and Foreign Policy.

It’s the repetition that gets to me. The same news over and over again. It fills and dulls my brain. It shrinks the space in which I can think. And since I make my living off being able to think, this is a bad state of affairs. So I’m working to make time open up again.

I’m still typing “24” in date spaces.

Rewatched THE MENU last night. Still an underrated film.
