OPERATIONS: After several days of fighting with WordPress, on Sunday morning I deleted a bunch of plugs, themes, and the associated theme editors that now get bundled in with WordPress themes. I don’t know which of them, or which combination of them, caused the cascading failure in WordPress (which started with a theme breaking and turning the site into a two-character column in mobile view, and ended with losing access to search and half the site becoming unreadable), but deleting all that seemed to calm it down. I spent actual money on a new theme, which is the one you can see today, and it mostly works. I will have to email the author to find out how to get tags to display under posts on the main page, and I need to fine-tune some stuff for legibility, but I think things will tick along now.

None of which is remotely interesting. Nor is the provisional conclusion that this notebook needs to become more text-based.

STATUS: Offline after I post this. And I am behind on everything.

LISTENING: Dream Time
LAST WATCHED: Rewatched THE DARK KNGIHT RISES, which is still the weakest of the three Nolan Batmans. Hathaway is better than I remembered, and seeing Tom Conti in anything is always lovely.
