“Have you seen all this bloody mess?”
Do you know there’s almost nothing by Roland Barthes in English on Kindle? I’ve been picking through a poorly scanned copy of WRITING DEGREE ZERO and thought, surely there are better quality editions. Nope. Lots of books about him, maybe two by him, and one’s the autobiography. Similarly, no-one has yet thought to make an ebook of Robbe-Grillet’s FOR A NEW NOVEL, a work I’d like to be able to consult once a year without eyestrain.
The temperature has jumped up, but it’s brought strong winds and rain with it. It’s just turned noon and I haven’t had a minute to myself yet. And now I have incoming packages. So much for walking into town for lunch and a cocktail today. Fuck it, send
