Three new chickens have arrived. The survivor of the previous cohort is the big one in the right foreground. The next few days are stressful, as pecking order is established and the older one gets over herself. The new three are thin and unhealthy but not as thrashed-out and bedraggled as our usual rescues, so I have hopes of everything calming down in a day or two. But the one in the bottom left of the shot is in by far the worst shape, so it’s still going to be an anxious time.
