HARVESTLORE, Laura Cannell

3 Improvisations – Laura Cannell
Part 1 As summer passes into sleep,
The autumn hits us with the revving of a slow violin drone. Eyes closed
Letting go of the overheated head Banishing the burning red
Eyes closed Playing in a half sleep
Part 2
I see you there Your damp leaves grasping for more water
Half rotten apples have fallen, their spores growing like flowers on fruit
I’m swimming through the New Cut Straight lines beside the riverbank
Broken mills stand in the sun shadows by the marsh grazers
Part 3 Autumn Spells
One day in a spiral of grass and earth Immerersed in movement and sound and vocalisations of… the seasons past.
Then, in a blacked out room With only eyes closed
A violin A bow
A delay Eyes Closed.
