My favourite column on The Quietus is Jennifer Lucy Allan’s Rum Music, this month’s is, as ever, great reading. It i a joy to open something where you know you’ll discover the existence of half a dozen things you’ve never heard of.

Very sad to note the death of Klaus Schulze, a central electronic musician. That’s a man who lived the art life – or, indeed, as the ongoing CD series cataloguing his entire output has it, la vie electronique. I have the first six of those bricks, and have always coveted more, racked next to those of his solo works that I own and that astonishing first Ash Ra Tempel record.
