A review of the Light Phone, a device I’ve flirted with in the past. I don’t think it’s for me: I have use cases that require more computing power, I like carrying a lot of music in my pocket and I dislike the idea of having to struggle to text my kid, so my quietened and weakening iPhone 8 still works fine for me, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
From the same site, a review of the reMarkable 2 tablet: in other times, I probably would have been mostly sold on this, if not for the cost and the USD $8/month required to keep it connected to Dropbox. These days, I’m resolutely analogue about such things. I have to plug in enough devices. My poor old Kindle Paperwhite needs charging weekly now. I like not having to charge up paper.
Via Notebook Stories, shots from artist Jimbo Blachly’s notebooks:

I still kind of crave a G-Shock watch to wear as a beater for garden work, but they seem to have got terribly fancy and scary expensive.
I work with a magnetic whiteboard, but one day I may shift to just paper, so here’s a list of decent wall-mount bulletin boards. Also, screw drilling: I use Command Hooks for everything.
