Glorious fresh long-shadowed autumn morning. Lovely start to the day. Herself is drinking tea made with the rosehips I harvested and the holy basil I’ve grown before she goes out for supplies to start the Xmas rumtopf. I’m probably going to roast coffee beans later, and prep for tomorrow: we have a glut of apples coming from a Kentish orchard, and are planning to make apple jam for Xmas pork. All is well out here on the Thames Delta.
