Management of the meatsuit is boring. I’ve recently been reading about this Bryan Johnson guy, the rich geezer who wants to extend his life. One might argue that he’s not necessarily living that life, he’s just working full time to extend it. But these highly-resourced edge cases are often interesting.

I read David Sinclair’s LIFESPAN some time ago, which was fascinating, very readable and a good deal more actionable. I’ve put the meatsuit through a lot, after all, and my family genetics are, shall we say, not promising. By this stage in life, my dad was in a wheelchair and my mother had myeloma, and, to my knowledge, nobody I’m related to has lived past 65. So, going by history, I’m into my last ten years. Therefore, the boring management has to happen.

This would all seem very healthy if I could stop smoking, right?

I eat a lot of plants and a lot of fish now. I have reached the age where food intolerances are happening, so I struggle to get enough carbs these days – I’m also one of those people who needs carbs to live; I tried keto and fell over after three days.

The liposomal NR was a game changer. The days when I don’t take it are glaring in terms of physical and mental function. Now, if I could just get eight hours sleep sometime soon…
