Much milder today, all of a sudden. It’s just gone noon and I’m still trying to get moving – I have to copy over handwritten notes to a document in a minute, everything’s piled up and I need to get a bunch of things off my desk over the next several days. Switched off some internet things, leaning into the quiet so I can have extended periods of just thinking to generate new work.

Finishing PALE FIRE, Nabokov, which I started and put down again several months ago.
