The last day of a very long year. I’m in the office, as what I hope is the last audio part of DEPARTMENT OF MIDNIGHT came in overnight for me to review. I have a feeling I’m waiting on a little bit of post on episode 104, but this should be the last crucial part, which means we’re all done bar the shouting. We all honestly thought this was going to be quick. When I sit down to do my rewrites on our planned second serial, I’m going to apply some lessons learned.

My partner caught a bug just after Xmas and has spent much of the last few days coughing or sleeping, so New Year operations are cancelled. I suspect that tonight I will just open a bottle and catch up on my MUBI watchlist. Gales and rain outside, which scotched my gardening plans.

January is going to be pretty full-on, work-wise – I’d like to be able to wipe six projects off the whiteboard by the end of that first month of the year.

INBOX: 57, pretty much all stuff I need to keep front and centre for January,

Only filled two Moleskine notebooks this year – those are my “daily” notebooks, I break out projects from them into dedicated Field Notes notebooks, of which I have probably filled five or six (I don’t keep count of those). I have a feeling that in 2024 I will fill four or five.

All right. Shutdown.
