A last look at the viburnum in (partial) flower – it went mad last year and overextended itself, so it needs another hard prune imminently. That will be a full day’s work all on its own. I’m now back in the space of looking at the weather forecasts and judging when I can get outside to begin the garden work anew. The best day would be Thursday, but I’m out that day.
Going outside first thing every day and feeling the weather.
Sometimes the mancub accompanies me, stands next to me as we judge the air. Lately he looks up at me like “fuck this” and trots back indoors. I can’t blame him. He doesn’t even have shoes.
