Okay, so, just dragged this into the back garden, the phone is pinging, email is churning.

OPERATIONS: Inbox 140. Look: if there’s something I need to reply to, send me another email so it pops to the top of the list. I was up til midnight breaking the structure of this story document in the notebook, and today I need to type it up, see if it still makes sense, tidy it up and fill it out and get it off to the publisher so I can move on to the other things that are on fire. And get across the tv deals, mark up the boards, start the newsletter, rebuild the schedule to take new projects into account, process contracts… or maybe do almost none of that and just write some stories, who knows… point being, today is spoken for, and pinging my phone by app or email will be the best and possibly only way to reach me this week.
