Once again, I find myself looking at my phone too often in the evenings. This is partly because one of our cats likes to sit next to me and then pin my left wrist down and sit on it. Time for a bit of a reset over here.
OPERATIONS: started thinking about next week’s newsletter, as I had reader requests to talk about routines, kit and EDC. Which has also led me to sort out my bag and tools a bit.
STATUS: loading up an SD card with Julianna Barwick, Sunn O))), Sarah Davachi and Christina Vantzou to plug into the (very cranky, very cheap) mp3 player for today’s hoped-for walk. Managed to fix the video doorbell. Also fixed the printer. V manly.
READING: THE PASSENGER, Cormac McCarthy (UK) (US+)
This old song popped back into my head last night: “Simple Mechanics.”
LAST WATCHED: nothing at all, and in conversation with a colleague last night I realised I have impossible queues on FIIVE streaming services and a stack of unwatched bu-rays that I don’t even want to talk about.
MISSION CONTROL: I can be contacted via the Cheng Caplan Company or Inkwell Management. Link in masthead to join my free newsletter.
