It’s really turned into one of those “fuck me, that is a lot of news” weeks, hasn’t it? Even Paul Krugman’s taking a day off.

OPERATIONS: behind on all things, so today’s a dead run with no fun
STATUS: 8hrs 34m sleep which was NOT enough and I am waiting on a delivery of truffled salt to season venison burgers and fries with tonight because I am exactly that monster. And I just had to order a family member a ton of foreign currency for their holiday (that I am also paying for) and I feel like I just lost a kidney, except of course that my kidneys probably aren’t worth that much money

Supercat in flight here is rolling around on the lawn in the late summer sun, after having come to get me at 10.10 to tell me it’s morning and he needs his snack before we go outside. And then drooling on my face when I gave him some fuss.

TODAY:

OPERATIONS: I have to lock down the newsletter and ten pages of script today, no time to fart around. And I just got two big chunks of art to look through, which I probably need to do first.
STATUS: Inbox 98, barely 7 hours sleep, Gmail on iOS has stopped popping notifications AGAIN. Today I am back in a heavy workshirt for the first time since the end of May, as the chill starts creeping in. Putting the Apple Watch on because I have a feeling I’m going to need help keeping up today….

Back in the office with a ton of stuff to do while I wait out the weather. I’d rather be outside – my allergies are murdering me – but I have to catch up on a lot of things.

OPERATIONS: I have to do some work on and around the newsletter today, continue development on some things, and catch up on a lot of logging here.
STATUS: Inbox 101
READING: the terrifying ULTRA PROCE3SSED PEOPLE (UK) (US+). If I hadn’t already extensively modified my diet in the last couple of years I’d be under the bed crying.

LAST WATCHED: Tried QUEER, which didn’t keep my attention first time around. Will try again at the weekend.

OPERATIONS: Sunday’s newsletter is already written and scheduled, but I need to build stuff into the 28th and Aug 4th editions today. Across PROJECT BORLEY, UNCODENAMED SIDE PROJECT and UNCODENAMED COMMISSIONED SCRIPT I AM LATE ON. Got the Canon Selphy working again for more and better printing, more paper and ink ordered. Tonight is notebook and the Rabbit for research (they thought people would use it to order Ubers, I am currently using it to calculate distances between exoplanets and travel times at multiples and fractions of lightspeed)

STATUS: 8hrs 31mins sleep. Inbox 86. I’ll handle email after 5 unless it’s urgent. Apps will get me faster.
