This was a pre-order. We buy Olga Tokarczuk books on sight, and have done ever since DRIVE YOUR PLOW OVER THE BONES OF THE DEAD (those notes posted here some years after I read it, it was an extract from my newsletter).
I opened it last night when it was auto-delivered, and it begins with a cast of characters, which promises a funny read.
