And then I made myself a Manhattan with Discarded vermouth, which is a zero waste product.
The end of July should not feel like the end of summer, but summer barely started here. It will likely be temperate until the end of September, but – and maybe it’s just the return of the cloud layer – it feels like the beginning of the seasons where I make foods and drinks for the drawing-in evenings. Soon I will be herbing salts, and making space for venison in the freezer.
A warm evening with a cocktail is working well.
